Do the right thing, at the right time.
Your savings will thank you. Bank on it.
Hello mates and welcome to this finance, technology and personal development website!
This website will serve as a testament to the will and tenacity of one Steve Pronis – hereafter known as the SPRON (private joke, will tell you about it in one of my blog posts, mates!).
Nope, I’m not an Icelandic bank (although I love Reykjavik, another story there). Just a simple guy trying to show others how they too can save money.
A few years ago, I was getting buried under a mountain of debt. An extravagant lifestyle, a blatant disregard of my financial (and physical well-being) and general ignorance was leading me down a dark path. Some prolonged bad encounters with a few sheilas and student loans didn’t help.
But fast forward half a decade, and I’m living a life that makes me quite happy. I’m far from a jet setting multi-millionaire, but I am able to enjoy the little pleasures in life.
I would say that there are just a few principles that I follow that made that leap possible:
- Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. I know it’s been said before, but it bears repeating – diversify your portfolio!
- Don’t pay for things that you don’t need to. This may apply in your day-to-day life, but also with regards to things such as brokerage commissions, mutual funds etc. Get a good deal.
- Find the right people to get advice from. It’s hard when you’re starting out and everyone (well-meaning, mostly) is trying to give you advice on how to get out of your rut. But the problem is that most of them have no idea what they are talking about too!
Let's work together to see how we can plan your financial future.
There's more than one way we can all reach financial freedom. How you do it may not be the same as how I do it, but that doesn't mean that it won't work. Do you need personal advice? Reach out to me and let's see how we can get you out of debt.
